The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivanov moves in looking to clinch but Hayl pushes him off.
Ivanov scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hayl in his tracks.
Hayl swats away the attempt to clinch by Ivanov.

Ivanov darts in trying to clinch
and Hayl counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Blagoi Ivanov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ivanov throws a leg kick
and Hayl counters with a single leg into guard. Ivanov didn't expect that.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ivanov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hayl breaks from Ivanov's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Ivanov tries to reverse the position but Hayl maintains control.
Hayl can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ivanov is looking to escape.
