The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cavalcante misses with an uppercut.
Laden moves out of range as Cavalcante strikes.
Laden tries for a takedown but Cavalcante circles away easily
and Cavalcante counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Laden!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Cavalcante working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Laden manages to work his way to half guard, despite Cavalcante's best efforts.
