Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Cachacinha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mario Do Armario!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Do Armario feints and as Cachacinha raises his hands in defense, Do Armario changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cachacinha keeping moving, preventing Do Armario from controlling successfully.
Cachacinha looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Do Armario trying to control but Cachacinha is working from the bottom.
Do Armario looking to sit in guard and control but Cachacinha gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Cachacinha throws an elbow that misses. Do Armario uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cachacinha's guard. Nice move by Do Armario!
Cachacinha looking for a sweep. Not yet Cachacinha, not yet.
Do Armario wants to pass the guard but Cachacinha is keeping the position.

Cachacinha is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Do Armario is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Do Armario is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Do Armario had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cachacinha defends it easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cachacinha connects with a nice short shot to Do Armario's temple.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Cachacinha shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Do Armario napping and manages to drive through into side control!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Do Armario tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cachacinha sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Do Armario somewhat.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cachacinha accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
