The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Machado shoots in for a double leg but Batista sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Batista uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Machado.
Batista swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Machado counters by moving into the clinch.
Machado goes for a takedown attempt but Batista pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Machado pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Batista drops Machado with a huge uppercut! Machado drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Batista is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
