Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Zapata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zapata has chosen Tres Delinquentes as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zapata keeps the fight on the outside.

Zapata shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zapata showed some decent athleticism there.
Payne is trying to stand up here but Zapata is controlling him well.
Zapata throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Zapata is pressing down on Payne's thigh, looking to free his foot. Payne is holding on for now.
Zapata is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Zapata lands a nice short elbow.
Payne is not content to let Zapata control the position.
Zapata trying to pass the guard but Payne defending well.
Zapata wants to lay and pray for a moment but Payne keeps working.
Zapata thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Payne's head.

Payne is trying to stand back up but Zapata is controlling him

Zapata is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Payne!

Zapata goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Payne is on top in guard.
Zapata looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Payne puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zapata is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Payne has his hands clasped together but Zapata extends an breaks Payne's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Zapata.
