PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Glenn Benton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smelly Fingers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benton comes into the arena with Shed Seven - Bully Boy blaring out of the sound system. Fingers has chosen Foux Da FaFa as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Glenn Benton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Smelly Fingers!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fingers tries to clinch but Benton is having none of it.

Benton walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Fingers checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Fingers shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Benton manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Benton throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fingers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Benton swivels and escapes.
Fingers finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Fingers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Benton tries to avoid it but Fingers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Benton to the ground. Benton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fingers tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Benton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fingers dives in and grabs Benton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Benton pushes down on Fingers's head and hops out.
