Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piper closes the distance and clinches up with Darklance, looking for a takedown. Piper pushes Darklance against the cage but Darklance circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Darklance looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Darklance misses with a takedown attempt
and Piper counters with a nice body shot.
Darklance fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucentus Darklance. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Piper throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Roddy Piper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Piper looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Piper lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Darklance has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Piper is working away from the top position though.
Darklance is looking for a sweep. Piper is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Piper wants to pass the guard but Darklance is defending well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Piper passes the guard and advances to mount!
Darklance is desperately trying to improve his position but Piper has a good base and remains in mount.

Piper scoring with strikes but Darklance is staying in there.
Piper lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Piper lands a big elbow.

Darklance is rocked!
Piper postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Darklance badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Piper around the waist but Piper pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Piper is the winner by TKO! Piper jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
