The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mariutti misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tedronai tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mariutti manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tedronai wants to clinch but Mariutti slips to the side

and Mariutti counters by moving into the clinch.
Mariutti is looking to take this one to the mat.
Tedronai tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Tedronai misses with the head strike.
Mariutti jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tedronai walks away with a smile on his face. Mariutti gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Mariutti. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mariutti shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tedronai as he jumps to the side.
Mariutti really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tedronai is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mariutti.
Mariutti shoots in and drives through. Tedronai sprawls well.
Tedronai throws a chopping leg kick but Mariutti manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mariutti throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Horrible takedown by Mariutti or perhaps it was just good defense by Tedronai which made him look bad.
Tedronai wants to clinch

and Mariutti holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Tedronai struggles to land a body shot inside as Mariutti controls his hands.
Tedronai throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mariuttis head.
Tedronai misses with some punches.
Mariutti tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tedronai smiles and moves away.
Elan Morin Tedronai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mariutti walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Tedronai scores with a hook.
Tedronai lands with a shot to the body.
Tedronai scores with a sloppy right hand. Mariutti should have avoided that one.
Mariutti throws a sloppy head kick and Tedronai moves out of range easily.
Tedronai tries to clinch up but Mariutti circles away and keeps his distance.
Tedronai wants to clinch up but Mariutti keeps it at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tedronai jabs Mariutti to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Mariutti is breathing heavily.
Mariutti avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mariutti misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mariutti takes one on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tedronai fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mariutti tries to clinch up but Tedronai circles away and keeps his distance.
Mariutti shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tedronai sprawls well. Tedronai wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mariutti gets slowly back to his feet.
Tedronai throws a combination. Mariutti tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Mariutti is rocked!
Mariutti looks up at the clock. Bad move! Tedronai lands a right hand from hell, dropping Mariutti. Tedronai pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
