The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Johnson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ribeiro has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Ribeiro thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Johnson is not content to let Ribeiro control the position.
Ribeiro wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Johnson, who protects the arm well.
Johnson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ribeiro has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ribeiro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ribeiro tries for a takedown but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Johnson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Ribeiro controls his leg.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ribeiro seems to have recovered his senses.
