Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between BJ Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omeka Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, BJ Hanson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Omeka Davis!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson shoots in but no luck this time.
Hanson throws a hook to the side of Davis's head but Davis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Hanson misses with a takedown attempt - Davis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Davis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hanson sprawls well. Hanson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Davis gets slowly back to his feet.

Omeka Davis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Davis. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Davis closes the distance and clinches up with Hanson, looking for a takedown. Davis pushes Hanson against the cage but Hanson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hanson misses with a body kick.
Davis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hanson's waist but Hanson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davis off to one side.
Davis throws out a leg kick but Hanson moves out of range and Davis only half commits.

A frustrated look appears on Hanson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Davis tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hanson's elbow.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to BJ Hanson.
Well Davis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
