PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carl Czar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhammad Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Czar comes to the cage accompanied by Here Comes the Boom-Intimidation. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Czar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Muhammad Ali!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A punch combination from Czar misses.
Ali lands a jab to Czar's midsection.
Czar throws a hook but Ali blocks it.
Ali scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Czar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ali looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sloppy strikes there by Czar.

Czar in side control, throwing shots but Ali defends.

Czar stands up and we're back to a striking position.
A swing and a miss from Czar.
Ali lands with a nice body punch.
Czar throws a jab when Ali was well out of range.
Czar looks to land a combination but Ali avoids it well.
Czar fails to land with a series of punches.
Ali misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Czar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ali is trying to defend but Czar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Czar is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ali sees it coming and defends easily.

Ali is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Czar scores with a couple of nice shots.
Czar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ali looks like he's trying to stand up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Czar wants to stand but Ali has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Ali tries to kick Czar off but Czar keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Czar takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Czar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Czar is figuring out what he wants to do next.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Muhammad Ali was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Czar has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Ali takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Ali throws a series of punches but Czar avoids them all with ease.
Ali throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Muhammad Ali seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Czar scores with a nice strike.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No joy there for Czar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ali misses with a wild body shot.
Czar steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ali.

Czar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Czar drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ali looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ali looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ali!
Czar tries to get back to half guard but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Czar manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Czar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ali on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Czar pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ali throws a shot from downtown. Czar moves away and avoids it.
Ali swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Czar just misses with a punch to the body.

Czar closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ali's guard.
Czar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Carl Czar just wasn't active enough.

Ali throws a series of punches but Czar moves out of range.
Ali will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Czar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ali napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Czar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ali.
Czar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Carl Czar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ali lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ali.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
