The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dela feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jambo's calf.
Dela stuffs the takedown attempt from Jambo. Jambo gets slowly back to his feet.
Dela tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Dela lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Dela throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jambo takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Dela throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jambo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Jambo might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Dela tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jambo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jambo is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Jambo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dela avoids it really well and circles away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jambo takes a shot right to the bread basket.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Jambo. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Jambo throws a hook to the side of Dela's head but Dela sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

The fighters circle momentarily. Dela darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Jambo drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jambo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dela quickly recovers to half guard.

Jambo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dela might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jambo haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
