PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gun Slinga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muay Thai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thai is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Town Called Malice. Muay Thai told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Muay Thai!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thai tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A solid leg kick lands there for Slinga.
Thai catches Slinga with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Gun Slinga has been cut.
Slinga thows a body shot but no joy.
A looping hook to the body misses from Slinga. Thai does a little dance to reset his feet.
Thai steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Slinga.
Thai avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thai throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Slinga throws a jab but it's blocked by Thai.
A chopping leg kick lands by Thai.

Oooooh!!! Thai has knocked Slinga down with a huge combo! Thai steps away and waves a wobbly Slinga back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Slinga is rocked!
Slinga throws a hook to the side of Thai's head but Thai sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Oh Slinga is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A slapping leg kick lands for Thai.
Slinga seems to have got his legs back now.
Slinga is breathing heavily.
Slinga throws a hook but Thai avoids it easily.
Gun Slinga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thai finds Slinga's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Slinga flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Thai lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Slinga will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Muay Thai!
