Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and PJ Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stephen Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, PJ Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesnar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Anderson's guard.
Lesnar is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Anderson working a defensive guard here.
Anderson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Anderson working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Lesnar has passed into half guard!
Lesnar lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Anderson is trying to get back to full guard.
Lesnar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Anderson tries to kick Lesnar off but Lesnar keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Anderson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lesnar controlling the pace.
Lesnar wants to pass the guard but Anderson is defending well.
Lesnar looks to land a strike but Anderson avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Lesnar has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Anderson is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anderson keeping moving, preventing Lesnar from controlling successfully.

Anderson pulls Lesnar in close to his closed guard and prevents Lesnar from doing any damage or advancing position.
Anderson wants to stand and escape but Lesnar is having none of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. PJ Lesnar wasn't active enough on the ground.
Lesnar misses with a jab, cross combination.

Lesnar drives through with a takedown into Anderson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Lesnar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Lesnar is pulling down on Anderson's head to control his posture.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

PJ Lesnar has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Anderson shoots in but no luck this time.

Lesnar darts in and clinches Anderson up against the cage.
Lesnar controlling the action here for a moment.

Lesnar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lesnar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Anderson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Anderson is breathing heavily.

Lesnar is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lesnar tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

PJ Lesnar dominated that round.

Anderson just misses with a punch to the body.
Anderson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Anderson tries to clinch
and Anderson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nice body punch from Lesnar.
Lesnar with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Anderson closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lesnar counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Lesnar takes the fight into the clinch.

Lesnar drags the fight down to the ground.
PJ Lesnar has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Anderson looking to sit in guard and control but Lesnar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Lesnar throwing strikes from guard but Anderson blocks nicely.

Lesnar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Anderson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lesnar has managed to get both his arms back between Anderson's legs - danger averted.

Anderson looking for a guillotine here but Lesnar defends easily.
Anderson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lesnar controls the pace.

Lesnar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Lesnar stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Lesnar looking to score a takedown here. Anderson is defending well but Lesnar drives through and ends up in Anderson's guard.
Anderson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lesnar would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Lesnar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Lesnar connects with a couple of short punches.
Lesnar engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by PJ Lesnar.
Anderson avoids a punch combination nicely.

Anderson throws a body kick that misses.
Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lesnar swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lesnar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anderson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lesnar decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Anderson doesn't manage to clinch there - Lesnar circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Anderson tries to sprawl but Lesnar drives through with a takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

PJ Lesnar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Anderson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lesnar but Lesnar pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Lesnar closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lesnar lands in his opponent's guard.
Lesnar wants to stand and escape but instead Anderson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Anderson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lesnar manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Anderson gets back to half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Anderson wants to control but Lesnar is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lesnar trying to mount his opponent but Anderson defends it.
Anderson is looking to control Lesnar's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Anderson avoid being mounted?
Lesnar is trying to control. Anderson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Lesnar closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Anderson's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lesnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lesnar wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.

Anderson is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Lesnar frees his head nicely. Oh but Anderson has switched to an armbar! Lesnar is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
