The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abaddon tests Riley's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Abaddon misses with a hook. Riley ducked under it nicely.
The fighters circling - Abaddon throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Riley shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Riley goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Abaddon blocks a low kick nicely.

Abaddon fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Riley.
Abaddon feints and then cracks Riley's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Riley down.
Abaddon cracks Riley with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Abaddon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Riley is fending him off so far but Abaddon persists. Nope, Riley circles away and we're back to standing.

Riley throws a leg kick which misses Abaddon's front leg but catches the back leg as Abaddon tries to avoid it.
Abaddon throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Riley takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Abaddon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Abaddon scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Riley walks into a jab.
A head kick misses from Abaddon.
Abaddon stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Riley.
Riley throws a low kick, looking for Abaddon's leg but Abaddon calmly moves out of range.
Riley throws a nice inside leg kick.
Abaddon doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Abaddon lands with a straight right. Riley didn't see that one coming.
Abaddon avoids a kick to the body.
Riley slips under a jab.

Riley knocks Abaddon to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

It looks like Lupercal Abaddon has been cut.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Abaddon is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Riley throws a strike aimed at the side of Abaddon's head but Abaddon avoids it well.

Riley stands up.
Riley fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Abaddon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Riley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Abaddon seems to have recovered his senses.
Riley throws a leg kick but Abaddon checks it.
Riley throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Riley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Abaddon throws out the jab.
Lupercal Abaddon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close round but I would say that Travis Riley will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Lupercal Abaddon's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Abaddon cracks Riley with a right hand to the side of the head.
A nice leg kick lands there from Riley.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Abaddon lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Riley has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Riley and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Riley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Riley has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Abaddon takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Riley rushes Abaddon with punches - Abaddon moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Abaddon goes down! Riley follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
