PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blake Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Juras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perry comes to the ring accompanied by Sound of Maddness from Shinedown. Juras has chosen Tiger as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juras gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Perry counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Juras looking for a sweep. Not yet Juras, not yet.
Juras has control of Perry's left arm, preventing Perry from doing any damage.

Juras is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Perry is aware though and is defending well.
Perry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Juras on the ground.
Perry is looking to stand up but Juras won't let him.
Juras keeping moving, preventing Perry from controlling successfully.
Perry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Perry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Perry has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Juras is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Perry is working for a kimura but Juras is defending it quite comfortably.

Perry is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Juras is just riding it out for now. Perry eventually gives up the hold.

Perry wants to free his trapped foot but Juras is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Juras keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Juras wants to control but Perry is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Juras is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Perry is staying active.
Perry is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Perry is sitting in close to Juras's body. Juras has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Perry is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Perry is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Juras.
