The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moses is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Tank Abott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moses wants to clinch.
Moses throws a right hand that Abott ducks under and follows up with a left that Abott also avoids with ease.

Moses fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Abott sprawls well initially but Moses persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Moses throws a strike but Abott avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Abott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Moses. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Abott wants to improve his position but Moses is controlling well.

Abott is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Moses moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Abott has worked his arm free - good work by Abott!
Abott is trying to control Moses's posture but Moses avoids it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee warns Abott that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Moses has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Abott is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Moses looking to control but Abott is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Moses lands with some strikes.
Moses lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Abott tries to hold on but Moses pushes him away.

Abott is trying to escape the mount.
Abott looks winded!

Moses jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Abott manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Moses has hold of Abott's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Abott tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Moses cranks the arm and Abott screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Abott, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

After winning the bout, Washington Moses thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
