The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Love misses with a wild combination.
Joe throws a right and a left that Love avoids nicely.
Love tests Joe's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Love misses with a left hand
letting Joe counter with a right hand.
Joe displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Love throws out the jab.
Joe closes this distance looking for a takedown but Love circles away.
Joe connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Joe uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Love.
Love throws a shot from downtown. Joe moves away and avoids it.
Joe takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Average Joe has been cut.

Joe wants to clinch up but Love keeps it at a distance.
Love swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Joe changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Love fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Joe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Love stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Love displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Joe.
Quest Love has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Average Joe.
Love throws a sloppy head kick and Joe moves out of range easily.

Joe stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Love.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Love feints and then cracks Joe's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Joe down.
Love fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Joe manages to avoid it.
Joe lands with a right hand.
Love lands a nice shot that snaps Joe's head back.
Joe moves in looking to clinch but Love pushes him off.
Love misses with a body shot.

Joe moves into the clinch.
Joe fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Joe tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Love smiles and moves away.
Joe takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Love thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Joe if he has to take too many more of those.

The fight stays on the outside here - Joe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Joe is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Love is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Joe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Joe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Joe loads up on a big right hand but Love slips the punch.
Love missing with a left hand there. Joe was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Love's jab looks to have found its range, popping Joe under the eye.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Love swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Joe on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Joe tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Love just stands there and leans against the cage.
Love lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Love scores with a shot to the side of Joe's head.
Love lands a right hand.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Joe lands a hook to the side of the head.
Love struggles to land a body shot inside as Joe controls his hands.

Joe is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Love pulls him back up using the underhooks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Love moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Love looks to throw the jab but Joe is out of range.
Joe closes the distance looking to clinch
and Love cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Love throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Love jabs at Joe's body.

Love throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Love tries to land a front kick but Joe steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Love lands a big head kick that sends Joe to the canvas! Love follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
