Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dee Bo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chael Sonnen!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bo throws a right and a left that Sonnen avoids nicely.
Sonnen shoots in for a double leg but Bo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bo throws a series of punches but Sonnen avoids them all with ease.
Dee Bo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sonnen gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bo.
Bo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sonnen drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Sonnen shoots for a takedown but Bo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sonnen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sonnen on the side of the head.
Bo lands a left and a right that send Sonnen crashing to the mat, dazed. Bo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Sonnen is rocked!
It looks like Chael Sonnen has been cut.
Bo fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Sonnen square on the jaw! Damn, Sonnen is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dee Bo!
