Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Satoshi Kajiwara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ricardo Awa!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Awa misses with a double jab.
Kajiwara takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Awa moves into the clinch successfully.
Kajiwara has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kajiwara. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Awa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Awa counters with a three punch combo that has Kajiwara backing up. Kajiwara nods at Awa to acknowledge the strikes.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Kajiwara.
Kajiwara throws a sloppy head kick and Awa moves out of range easily.

Kajiwara wants to break free but Awa has control.

Awa comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Awa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Awa rushes Kajiwara and presses him up against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kajiwara tries to pull guard but Awa forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Kajiwara takes an elbow to the temple.
Kajiwara can't break the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Awa.
Kajiwara is trying to push Awa away but Awa has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Whack! Awa lands a heavy head kick that drops Kajiwara. The ref tackles Awa to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Kajiwara was done.
