PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Momoshiro Kitsune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hideaki Murakami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kitsune kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 僕はミス・テイク~. Hideaki Murakami will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Momoshiro Kitsune!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideaki Murakami!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murakami throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kitsune sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Murakami rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kitsune moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kitsune takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Kitsune decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Murakami is pressing down on Kitsune's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Kitsune postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Murakami has momentary wrist control but Kitsune slips an elbow through the middle.

Murakami is looking to stand up but Kitsune isn't so interested in that idea.

Kitsune wants to control from the top but Murakami keeps moving.

Kitsune has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Murakami is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kitsune is putting a hurting on Murakami here, landing some big shots from side control.

Murakami gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Kitsune landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Kitsune seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Murakami does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Murakami is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kitsune pulls his head out easily.

Kitsune seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Kitsune working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Kitsune is trying to control the action in half guard but Murakami is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
