Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Couture looks to land a combination but Smith avoids it well.
Couture closes the distance and clinches.
Couture pushes Smith back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Smith looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Couture has Smith pressed against the cage, preventing Smith from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Couture throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Smith is trying to break the clinch but Couture has him pressed against the cage.

Couture pushes off an throws an elbow but Smith leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Couture feints and as Smith raises his hands in defense, Couture changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Smith wants to sweep but no luck.
Couture will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Couture stops Smith from standing up.
Couture has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Couture is looking to work some ground and pound but Smith has wrist control.
Smith is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Couture is controlling him.

Couture postures up in Smith's guard and throws a big left but Smith blocks it.
Smith working for a triangle but Couture defends it easily.
Couture trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Couture trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Couture not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Couture landing with the ground and pound.
Smith escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Couture gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Couture in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Couture distracts Smith with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Smith will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Smith has his feet on Couture's thighs here. He's pushed Couture off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Couture screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

After the fight, Sam Smith was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
