Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Brannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daouda Diakite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diakite shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brannon but Brannon pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Brannon looks for a takedown but Diakite sprawls well.

and Diakite counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Brannon is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Diakite bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brannon's guard.
Brannon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Diakite stands and steps away. Brannon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Brannon doesn't manage to clinch there - Diakite circles away.
Brannon tries for a takedown but Diakite sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Diakite looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brannon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Brannon is in a horrible position here. Diakite smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Diakite postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Brannon in real trouble here! The ref calls for Brannon to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
