The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macena tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smolen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Macena has Smolen pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Macena pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Smolen tumbling to the mat - Macena dives into Smolen's guard.
