PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ringo Spar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nigel Burkshire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Spar might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to i Get Knocked Down, But i Get Up Again. Burkshire has chosen It's a Fight - Three 6 Mafia as his entrance music. Nigel Burkshire has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ringo Spar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burkshire looks to land a right hand but Spar moved out of range.

Spar looks to land a left hand but Burkshire moved out of range nicely.
Spar lands a jab to the head.
Burkshire on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Spar connects with a leg kick. Burkshire looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Burkshire throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Spar's waist but Spar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Burkshire off to one side.

Burkshire stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Burkshire wants it to stay on the feet.
Burkshire uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Spar.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Burkshire tries to bum rush Spar with a series of wild strikes but Spar uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Spar enables Burkshire to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Spar manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I would just about give that final round to Nigel Burkshire.
