PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sinisa Veljko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Pacino Delegratti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Veljko's entrance music is Stemm - Face the pain. A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Sinisa Veljko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Al Pacino Delegratti!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Delegratti clinches with his opponent.
Delegratti lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Veljko drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Veljko wants a takedown.

Come on Delegratti - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Veljko has Delegratti pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Delegratti manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Veljko wants to control from the top but Delegratti keeps moving.

Veljko sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Delegratti's guard.
Veljko thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Delegratti wants to improve his position but Veljko is controlling well.
Veljko is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Delegratti!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Veljko closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Veljko lands in his opponent's guard.

Veljko uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Veljko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Delegratti was well out of range. Poor timing from Veljko.

Veljko fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Delegratti sprawls well initially but Veljko persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Veljko cracks Delegratti with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Veljko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Veljko unloads with some shots from mount but Delegratti bucks and avoids them well.
Veljko lands a nice shot to the head.

Al Pacino Delegratti has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Delegratti is bucking up trying to escape but Veljko cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Sinisa Veljko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Delegratti takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Veljko lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Veljko lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Delegratti! Veljko sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Delegratti and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
