PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenshiro Kasumi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas LaVey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kasumi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ai Wo Torimodose aka Song of Manliness. Lucas LaVey told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Kasumi. That's going to slow LaVey down.

Kasumi throws an ugly left hook that misses
and LaVey counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kasumi is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kasumi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and LaVey has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from LaVey and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

LaVey steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kasumi.
LaVey takes a swing at Kasumi's ribcage but misses.
Kasumi throws a hook but LaVey blocks it.
Kasumi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before LaVey has time to react.

LaVey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kasumi.
A clash of legs there as LaVey blocks the low kick.
Kasumi tried to score with a low kick but LaVey checks it.
LaVey lands with a kick to the temple. Kasumi shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A jab from Kasumi does it's job there.
Kasumi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from LaVey.
Kasumi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

LaVey scores with a sloppy right hand. Kasumi should have avoided that one.
LaVey throws a looping overhand right but Kasumi ducks down to avoid it.

Kasumi misses with a hook. LaVey ducked under it nicely.

LaVey lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

LaVey thumps Kasumi with a low kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
LaVey's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kasumi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! LaVey scrambles back to his feet.
Kasumi tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

LaVey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
LaVey moves away from the strike by Kasumi.
LaVey tries to land a front kick but Kasumi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
LaVey throws a low kick but Kasumi moves out of range easily.
The fighters circle, before LaVey throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Kasumi's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! LaVey lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
