And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sol Badguy!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badguy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lansing paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lansing changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Lansing misses with a double jab
and Badguy makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Lansing really felt that one!
Lansing misses with a looping left.
Badguy tries to clinch up but Lansing circles away and keeps his distance.
Badguy misses with a head kick.
Lansing throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Lansing connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Lansing connects with a body shot that sends Badguy's belly button to the back.

Badguy tries to clinch but Lansing is having none of it.

Badguy shoots for a takedown but Lansing saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Badguy lands with a thumping leg kick.
Badguy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Lansing counters with a nice uppercut.
A nice combination there by Lansing.

Lansing misses with an uppercut. Badguy saw that one coming.
Badguy darts in and clinches Lansing up against the cage.
Lansing's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Lansing has Badguy pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Lansing pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Badguy tumbling to the mat - Lansing dives into Badguy's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lansing controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Badguy is on top in guard.

Lansing has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Badguy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Lansing has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Badguy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lansing works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lansing is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Badguy lands a couple of digs.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lansing lands a nice hook to Badguy's body. Badguy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Badguy tries to clinch but Lansing is having none of it.
Lansing throws out a loose jab but Badguy uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lansing shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Badguy closes the distance and clinches.
Lansing misses with the head strike.
Badguy is looking to control Lansing's arms but Lansing gets an underhook and turns him. Now Badguy has his back to the cage.
Badguy wants to take the fight to the mat but Lansing manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Lansing misses with a punch to the body.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Lansing.
Badguy blocks an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lansing pressing his opponent against the cage.
Lansing tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Lansing can't find room to land a body shot as Badguy controls the action.
A left hand lands to the body for Lansing.
Lansing stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Lansing lands a right hand that snaps the head of Badguy backwards.
Lansing decides to pull guard.
Badguy stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Lansing has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Badguy manages to get his head free but now Lansing has transitioned to an armbar! Badguy grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Lansing! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

A less than humble Alexander Lansing misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
