Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renato Laranja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Thiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Renato Laranja has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Renato Laranja seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mauricio Thiago!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laranja instigates a clinch.
Laranja turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Laranja happy to just control the position for now.
Laranja is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Thiago is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Laranja will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Thiago is trying to get back to his feet.
Laranja is working to tighten is grip on Thiago's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Thiago has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Laranja is really squeezing tight and eventually Thiago passes out! Laranja breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
