Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lukasz Sajewski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yamapi Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Chan's choice of entrance music: Ikenai Tayou. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yamapi Chan!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sajewski tests Chan's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Chan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sajewski.
Chan throws a leg kick but Sajewski sees it coming and moves out of range.
Nice defenses there by Chan.
Sajewski jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Sajewski connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Sajewski scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Chan is looking to score with low kicks.
Sajewski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chan was well out of range. Poor timing from Sajewski.
A nice inside leg kick there by Chan. That's going to slow Sajewski down.
Chan defending well as Sajewski loads up on a big left hand.
Sajewski misses the jab.
Chan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sajewski swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Sajewski connects with a leg kick. Chan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Sajewski cracks Chan with a right hand to the side of the head.
Sajewski swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chan takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Chan throws a leg kick which misses Sajewski's front leg but catches the back leg as Sajewski tries to avoid it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sajewski on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Chan. Chan obviously looking to wear him down.
A big right from Sajewski misses.
Sajewski avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Sajewski misses with a hook.
Chan closes the distance and clinches up with Sajewski, looking for a takedown. Chan pushes Sajewski against the cage but Sajewski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chan swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Chan counters with a good low kick that Sajewski was not able to check.
Chan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sajewski's calf.
Sajewski lands a lovely overhand right.

Chan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Chan showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Chan is looking to take a break and control but Sajewski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Chan seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Sajewski is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Yamapi Chan! Yamapi Chan retains his lightweight title!
Yamapi Chan really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Black Belt Nutrition #=========||=========# logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
