Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Wilkes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wilkes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bruce Springsteen - Born In The U.S.A.. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilkes shoots in but Dixon avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wilkes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Douglas Wilkes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wilkes dives in and grabs Dixon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dixon pushes down on Wilkes's head and hops out.
Dixon fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Sloppy strikes from Dixon. Those never looked like landing.
Wilkes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Wilkes on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wilkes tries to get out of the position.

Dixon stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Dixon lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Wilkes up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Dixon from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Wilkes's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jake Dixon!
