Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Reggie Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beats shoots in looking for a takedown. Coleman tries to sprawl out of it but Beats keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Coleman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Beats changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coleman tries to avoid it but Beats manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coleman to the ground. Coleman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Beats is trying hard to land a takedown here. Coleman sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chad Beats. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Coleman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Beats's guard now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Coleman passes Beats's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Coleman is looking to advance position but Beats won't allow it.
Beats wants to control but Coleman is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Coleman slips a nice elbow through Beats's hands, connecting with Beats's forehead.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Beats is looking for a sweep. Coleman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman content to control rather than advance.
