The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Halen throws an overhand right that lands on Bourne's shoulder, as Bourne tries to avoid the shot.
Bourne stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bourne wants it to stay on the feet.
Van Halen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Van Halen motions for Bourne to come forward. Van Halen throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Van Halen moves out of range as Bourne throws a body kick.
Bourne throws a wild body kick that Van Halen sees coming a mile off.

and Bourne connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Van Halen scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Van Halen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bourne's waist but Bourne gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Van Halen off to one side.
John Bourne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raphael Van Halen.
Van Halen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bourne tries to move into range but Van Halen moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Van Halen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bourne tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Van Halen was well out of range. Poor timing from Bourne.
Bourne throws a nice looking combination but Van Halen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Van Halen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Van Halen throws a head kick but Bourne moves out of range.

Van Halen throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Van Halen misses with a straight left.
Bourne jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bourne throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Van Halen stumbling backwards into the cage! Van Halen bounces back off the cage towards Bourne, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Bourne lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Bourne celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
