Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Von Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mahatma Gandhi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mahatma Gandhi looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Von Hammer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mahatma Gandhi !
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer misses with a body shot.
Hammer misses with the combination.
Gandhi tries to clinch but Hammer moves out of range.
Hammer avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hammer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hammer wants it to stay on the feet.
Hammer leaves Gandhi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hammer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gandhi fakes the leg kick and cracks Hammer in the body.

Gandhi drives through with a takedown into Hammer's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hammer wants to get back to his feet but Gandhi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Gandhi trying to control but Hammer is working from the bottom.
Gandhi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Gandhi working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Gandhi is pushing down on Hammer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hammer is fighting to maintain full guard but Gandhi has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gandhi thows a huge punch but Hammer dodges it nicely.
Hammer trying to hold on to Gandhi 's head to control him but Gandhi postures up.
Gandhi trying to pass the guard but Hammer defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammer blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gandhi .

Gandhi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gandhi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hammer's head.
Hammer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gandhi on the ground.
Gandhi wants to take a breather but Hammer is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gandhi is pressing down on Hammer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hammer is holding on for now.

Gandhi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hammer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gandhi .
Hammer keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Gandhi is working for a kimura but Hammer is defending it quite comfortably.

Gandhi wants to pass to mount but Hammer is defending the position.
Gandhi throwing shots but Hammer is blocking nicely.
Gandhi is looking to take a break and control but Hammer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gandhi is looking to advance position but Hammer won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mahatma Gandhi dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Gandhi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hammer tries to avoid it but Gandhi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hammer to the ground. Hammer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Left hook, right uppercut from Gandhi .

Gandhi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hammer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gandhi is in Hammer's guard.
Gandhi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Gandhi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hammer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gandhi has Hammer in his guard.
Hammer is looking to stand up but Gandhi won't let him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gandhi looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Hammer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gandhi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hammer manages to get himself to full guard.
Hammer is pulling down on Gandhi 's head to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammer wants to stand but Gandhi is controlling the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hammer slaps away a takedown attempt from Gandhi , before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hammer falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gandhi counters with a three punch combo that has Hammer backing up. Hammer nods at Gandhi to acknowledge the strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hammer moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Gandhi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hammer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Von Hammer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mahatma Gandhi .
Horrible takedown by Gandhi or perhaps it was just good defense by Hammer which made him look bad.
Gandhi is breathing heavily.
Hammer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gandhi was well out of range. Poor timing from Hammer.
Nice straight punches there by Hammer. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hammer.
Gandhi shoots in looking for a takedown. Hammer tries to sprawl out of it but Gandhi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hammer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hammer takes a swing at Gandhi 's ribcage but misses.
Gandhi throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hammer.
Gandhi shoots in but Hammer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Hammer!
Von Hammer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gandhi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hammer swings widly with a right hand
and Gandhi counters with a thumping low kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gandhi on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Hammer scores with a decent looking hook.
Hammer tries to bum rush Gandhi with a series of wild strikes but Gandhi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hammer connects with a body shot.
Hammer stalks Gandhi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gandhi 's face. Gandhi staggers backwards, shaken.
Hammer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hammer scores with a hook.
Gandhi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jab, jab by Hammer - just one landing.
Hammer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hammer cracks Gandhi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd cheers as Hammer lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gandhi doesn't seem phased though.
Hammer misses with an uppercut
and Gandhi counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hammer is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Gandhi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hammer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hammer looks to land a combination. Gandhi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


Gandhi is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hammer lands a lovely overhand right.
Gandhi is still on wobbly legs! Can Hammer finish him?
A nice combination there by Hammer.
Gandhi seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Hammer shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Gandhi is backing up but Hammer catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Gandhi covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Hammer Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Von Hammer!
