The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archavin throws a nice looking combination but Vlee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Archavin fails with the takedown.
Vlee throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vlee tries to clinch up
and Archavin counters with a one-two to the body.
Archavin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Archavin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A head kick by Vlee misses

and Archavin counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Archavin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Archavin shoots in but no luck this time.
Vlee throws a series of punches but Archavin avoids them all with ease.

Vlee lands a big head kick that sends Archavin tumbling to the mat! Vlee takes a step backwards and waves Archavin back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Archavin is rocked!

It looks like Zane Archavin has been cut.
Archavin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Vlee.
Archavin is still on wobbly legs! Can Vlee finish him?
Archavin looks winded!

Vlee clinches up against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vlee pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Archavin! Vlee unloads with more strikes and Archavin sinks to his knees! This one is all over!
