Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jetrone Lagoc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Presian Slavov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slavov has chosen LL Cool J - Whaddup as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Presian Slavov!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lagoc tries to clinch but Slavov is having none of it.
Lagoc is looking to clinch but Slavov is avoiding it.
Lagoc tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slavov paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lagoc instigates a clinch.
Slavov goes for a takedown attempt but Lagoc pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
No luck for Lagoc with that takedown attempt.

Slavov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Lagoc is trying to stand.
Slavov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lagoc keeps working.

Slavov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Slavov is keen to just control but Lagoc is a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, if Slavov is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Slavov avoids the attempt from Lagoc to control.
Slavov wants to control the pace but Lagoc is squirming around nicely.
Lagoc is looking to get to half guard.
Lagoc bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Slavov keeping moving, preventing Lagoc from controlling successfully.
Slavov controls Lagoc momentarily but Lagoc frees himself.

Slavov is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Slavov has his foot on Lagoc's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lagoc works his way back into a safe position though.
Lagoc won't allow Slavov to sweep him here.
Lagoc has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Slavov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lagoc is one step ahead there.
Lagoc slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jetrone Lagoc just wasn't active enough.
Lagoc fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lagoc lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lagoc.

Slavov drives through and clinches with Lagoc against the cage.
Lagoc tries to stall but Slavov uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Slavov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lagoc walks away with a smile on his face. Slavov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Slavov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lagoc's waist but Lagoc gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Slavov off to one side.
Jetrone Lagoc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Presian Slavov.
Slavov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lagoc moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Slavov fails with a takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lagoc tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Slavov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Presian Slavov will probably get the nod.

Lagoc pushes Slavov up against the cage in a clinch.
Slavov keeps control of Lagoc as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Slavov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lagoc avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Jetrone Lagoc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Presian Slavov.
Lagoc stalks Slavov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Slavov's face. Slavov staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Presian Slavov has been cut.
Lagoc tries to close the distance and clinch but Slavov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lagoc throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Slavov.
Lagoc jabs Slavov to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Slavov looking to score a takedown here. Lagoc is defending well but Slavov drives through and ends up in Lagoc's guard.
Slavov advances position into side control!

Slavov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Slavov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lagoc knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Slavov wants to control but Lagoc is keeping him busy.

Slavov is trying to get an arm triangle but Lagoc is defending well.
Slavov is looking to take a break and control but Lagoc is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Slavov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Slavov has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Lagoc is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Slavov yanks on the arm and Lagoc is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Slavov.
