And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sullivan blocks a jab.
Kane steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sullivan.
Sullivan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Sullivan moves into the clinch successfully.
Kane has had enough of the clinch but Sullivan keeps him there for the moment.
Sullivan struggles to land a body shot inside as Kane controls his hands.
Sullivan gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kane.

Sullivan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sullivan throws a right and a left that both miss.

Sullivan gets caught flat footed, as Kane shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Kane thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kane stands up and beckons Sullivan to his feet.
Sullivan throws a series of punches but Kane avoids them all with ease.

Sullivan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sullivan misses with a takedown attempt

and Kane counters with a single leg into guard. Sullivan didn't expect that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kane wants to pass the guard but Sullivan is keeping the position.
Kane is pushing down on Sullivan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sullivan is fighting to maintain full guard but Kane has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kane uses his free foot to push down on Sullivan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sullivan.
Sullivan really wants to buck Kane off and get back to his feet.
Kane trying to control but Sullivan is having none of it.

Kane is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sullivan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sullivan!

Kane wants to sweep but no luck.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kane is on top in guard.
Kane lands a couple of elbows.
Kane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sullivan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sullivan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kane is controlling him.

Sullivan throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Sullivan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Sullivan keeping moving, preventing Kane from controlling successfully.
Kane pushes down on Sullivan's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Sullivan is defending against the submission attempts here by Kane.
Sullivan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters circle momentarily. Sullivan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kane swings for the body but Sullivan moves out of range.

Sullivan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kane manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sullivan is pressed up against the cage. Kane has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sullivan down to the mat. Sullivan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Sullivan throws a series of punches but Kane moves out of range.

Sullivan is refusing to be controlled, as Kane sits in half guard.
Kane tries to pass to full mount but Sullivan defends it.
Kane passes to side control.

Kane tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kane has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sullivan gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Sullivan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kane pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sullivan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kane has control of Sullivan's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sullivan regains control of the situation pretty easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
