Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Valdo Monsser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Claude Van Damme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Damme has chosen Fabulous-Bad Guy as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Damme throws a head kick that Monsser semi-blocks.
Monsser tries to score a power double leg takedown but Van Damme sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Monsser somewhat.
Monsser shoots in looking for a takedown but Van Damme manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Monsser's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Van Damme has Monsser up against the cage in a clinch.
Monsser slowing the pace effectively.
Van Damme avoids the elbow strike from Monsser, against the cage.
Monsser has Van Damme pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Van Damme manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Valdo Monsser. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Monsser tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Van Damme smiles and moves away.
Van Damme throws a head kick that half lands.

Monsser closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Van Damme quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Monsser is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Monsser makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Monsser lands a couple of elbows.
Van Damme wants to stand but Monsser is controlling the position.
Monsser wants to control from the top but Van Damme keeps moving.

Monsser is looking to pass into half guard but Van Damme pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Van Damme is in guard.

Van Damme wants to stand but Monsser has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Monsser tries to roll over but Van Damme keeps him under control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Valdo Monsser wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Monsser tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Van Damme smiles and moves away.
Jean Claude Van Damme is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Van Damme has closed the distance and engaged Monsser in a clinch.

Monsser shoots for a double leg takedown but Van Damme sprawls well. He's pushed Monsser's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Van Damme keeps Monsser at a distance using the push kick.

Van Damme moves into range and clinches up with Monsser.
Van Damme goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Monsser is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Van Damme pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Monsser drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Van Damme breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Van Damme lands with a kick to the temple. Monsser shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

and Van Damme counters with a hugh head kick that removes Monsser from consiousness! A brutal head kick knockout!
