The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Grrrrrrrrrrr there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jones ducks right into an uppercut from Grrrrrrrrrrr.
Grrrrrrrrrrr throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Grrrrrrrrrrr thows a body shot but no joy.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Grrrrrrrrrrr tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grrrrrrrrrrr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jones wants to free his trapped foot but Grrrrrrrrrrr is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Jones is looking for a kimura but Grrrrrrrrrrr is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage.

Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Grrrrrrrrrrr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A jab from Grrrrrrrrrrr does it's job there.

Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
