Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Cuervo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Dyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cuervo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is I know you want me. Dyer has chosen Viva La Vida as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuervo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cuervo doesn't manage to clinch there - Dyer circles away.

and Cuervo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dyer's guard.

Cuervo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cuervo throws a strike but Dyer rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dyer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dyer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cuervo paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Dyer lands a head kick that stumbles Cuervo and the fighters go to the mat.

It looks like Jose Cuervo has been cut.
Dyer pushing down on Cuervo's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Cuervo misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Cuervo is looking for a sweep. Dyer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Cuervo is breathing heavily.
Dyer is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Cuervo!
