The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoo Lee Chit waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Thang.
Hoo Lee Chit circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hoo Lee Chit connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Hoo Lee Chit misses with a hook.
Thang misses with a looping left.
Hoo Lee Chit throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hoo Lee Chit ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thang moves away.
Thang throws a hook but Hoo Lee Chit blocks it.
Thang slips under a jab.
Thang keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
A slow jab from Hoo Lee Chit misses its intended target.
Thang fails to land the takedown.
Thang shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hoo Lee Chit pinned against the cage. Hoo Lee Chit gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Thang fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kim Hoo Lee Chit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vivrant Thang.
Thang looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hoo Lee Chit is fending him off so far but Thang persists. Nope, Hoo Lee Chit circles away and we're back to standing.
Hoo Lee Chit defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Thang.
Hoo Lee Chit tries to close the distance and clinch but Thang swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hoo Lee Chit pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Thang gets the takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Thang tries for a kimura but Hoo Lee Chit is defending well.

Thang is working to tighten is grip on Hoo Lee Chit's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hoo Lee Chit has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Thang is really squeezing tight and eventually Hoo Lee Chit passes out! Thang breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
