Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Morote Gari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Dront (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gari has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gari swats away the attempt to clinch by Dront.
Gari is breathing heavily.
Dront tries to clinch there but Gari circles away.

The fighters circling - Dront throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Gari scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Dront to see if he's OK.

Gari has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gari tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gari has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Dront moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
A good leg kick by Gari.

Gari throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dront.

Dront tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Dront lands a right hook to the body.
The Dront seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Gari counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gari.
Gari scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Dront really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gari. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gari drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Gari as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Dront screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Gari! Nice submission victory there!
