The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander's corner calls for a 1-2. Alexander obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Ah Ling moves in looking to clinch but Alexander pushes him off.
Alexander lands with a good body shot.
Alexander fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Ah Ling thows a body shot but no joy.
Alexander scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oooooh!!! Alexander has knocked Ah Ling down with a huge combo! Alexander steps away and waves a wobbly Ah Ling back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Alexander lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ah Ling at a distance.
Alexander ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Alexander jabs Ah Ling to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Alexander's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ah Ling moves forwards but Alexander connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alexander cracks Ah Ling with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Ah Ling falls to his knees and Alexander doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cody Alexander!
