Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grammund Rohirrim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heikki Vennamo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vennamo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bacchuksen tiellä kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rohirrim fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Rohirrim misses with a hook. Vennamo ducked under it nicely.

and Vennamo counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Vennamo throws a jab but it's blocked by Rohirrim.
Rohirrim takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rohirrim wants to clinch but Vennamo slips to the side
and Vennamo counters with a two punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rohirrim scores with a one two! Vennamo had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Heikki Vennamo has been cut.

Vennamo tries to pull guard but Rohirrim holds him up against the cage and eventually Vennamo drops back down to his feet.

Rohirrim drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vennamo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rohirrim has Vennamo in his guard.

Vennamo tries to free his leg and advance position but Rohirrim is retaining full guard.
Vennamo makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Vennamo is taking a breather. Rohirrim says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vennamo goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Rohirrim turns into him and now he's in Vennamo's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rohirrim stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vennamo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Vennamo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Grammund Rohirrim will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Vennamo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Rohirrim moves in looking to clinch but Vennamo pushes him off.

Rohirrim uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vennamo.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vennamo gets control of Rohirrim's arms and successfully pulls guard. Vennamo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Vennamo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rohirrim. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rohirrim swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Vennamo is now in Rohirrim's guard. A big mistake from Rohirrim there, giving up the dominant position!
