The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tantor lands a nice leg kick that just misses Fathy's sensitive parts.
Sherif Fathy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fathy works Tantor's body with a nice hook.
Fathy connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

The crowd cheers as Fathy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tantor doesn't seem phased though.
Tantor finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Tantor tried to score with a low kick but Fathy checks it.
Fathy lands with an uppercut that bounces Tantor off the cage and back into range.

Fathy cracks Tantor with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Fathy has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Tantor to stand back up!

Fathy throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Fathy drops Tantor with a big knee straight up the middle! Tantor is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Fathy cracks Tantor with a left hook right on the temple and Tantor goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Fathy lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Tantor is OK!
