Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Peace Braquis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lock Jaws (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Braquis comes to the cage accompanied by Enter Sandman. Lock Jaws will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaws stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jaws wants it to stay on the feet.
Jaws shoots in but Braquis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jaws misses with a leg kick

and Braquis counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Jaws has Braquis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Braquis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Braquis drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Jaws advances to half guard.
Jaws not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Braquis is trying to control but can't.

Braquis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jaws stalling away here and it's allowed Braquis to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Jaws tries to free his leg and advance position but Braquis is retaining full guard.
Jaws has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Braquis is proving hard to escape from.

Braquis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jaws defends it easily.

Jaws stands up and waves to Braquis to follow him.
Lock Jaws seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Braquis looks for a takedown but Jaws sprawls well.
Jaws will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Peace Braquis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lock Jaws.
Jaws takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Jaws changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Braquis tries to avoid it but Jaws manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Braquis to the ground. Braquis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jaws lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Braquis manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jaws on his heels. He'll look to pass Jaws's guard now, I'm sure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Braquis swings around for an armbar but Jaws sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Braquis's guard.
Jaws is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jaws tries to free his leg and advance position but Braquis is retaining full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Braquis is on top in guard.
Braquis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jaws wants to sweep here but Braquis controlling him for the moment.

Jaws has his foot on Braquis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Braquis works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jaws is looking for a sweep. Braquis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Braquis content to control rather than advance.

Braquis is trying to work for a kimura but Jaws is defending well.
Braquis wants to take a breather but Jaws is having none of it.

Braquis winds up and cracks Jaws with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Braquis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jaws keeps working.
Jaws is breathing heavily.
Jaws is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Peace Braquis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
