The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Renninger tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jackson is in Renninger's guard.

Jackson looking to sit in guard and control but Renninger gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jackson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Renninger stacks Jackson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Renninger!
Jackson sneaks back into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

He's locked it up tight! Renninger's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Jackson picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
