Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dominic Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominic Nelson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Phil Phillips!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips misses with a wild body shot.
Phillips will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nelson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Nelson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Phillips's guard.
Nelson passes Phillips's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Nelson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Phillips wants to get back to full guard but Nelson has mounted him!
Nelson looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Nelson get's back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nelson misses with a wild combination.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Phillips as he avoids it easily.

Nelson moves into range and clinches up with Phillips.
Phillips is trying to break the clinch but Nelson is controlling him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nelson has Phillips pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Phillips manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dominic Nelson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Phillips tries to break the clinch but Nelson is controlling the position.
Nelson lands a nice shot to the body.

Nelson manages to pull guard.
Phillips throws a big elbow that misses.
Nelson trying to keep a closed guard but Phillips is proving a slippery customer.

Nelson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Nelson wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nelson is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Phillips frees his head nicely. Oh but Nelson has switched to an armbar! Phillips is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
