Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Lobo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandro Smanetti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lobo comes to the cage accompanied by Linkin Park_One step Closer. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smanetti darts in trying to clinch

and Lobo counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Smanetti tries to get to full guard but Lobo has control of the leg.
Smanetti wants to control but Lobo is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Lobo is looking for a kimura but Smanetti is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lobo to get the leverage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sandro Smanetti.
Smanetti tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lobo swivels and escapes.

Smanetti shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lobo pinned against the cage. Lobo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Lobo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smanetti swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gabriel Lobo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Smanetti working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lobo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lobo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sandro Smanetti hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Smanetti throws the kick towards the body but Lobo avoids it.
Smanetti will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
