Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kiko Kaluma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Grapist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grapist has chosen Know Your Enemy by Rage Against the Machine as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kiko Kaluma has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jerry Grapist!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kaluma clinches up with Grapist and pushes him back against the cage.
Grapist looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Grapist is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Grapist is trying to push Kaluma away but Kaluma has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kaluma keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Grapist's efforts to push away.

Kaluma pulls guard effortlessly.
Kaluma really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kaluma escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Grapist gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kaluma is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kaluma lands a nice short elbow.
Kaluma seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Kaluma decides to stand up.

Grapist gets caught napping as Kaluma dives in and scores a takedown. Grapist manages to retain guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kaluma postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Kaluma has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kaluma chips away with some ground and pound.
Grapist has momentary wrist control but Kaluma slips an elbow through the middle.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Grapist can't keep his opponent in guard - Kaluma advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Grapist is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Kaluma jumps into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kiko Kaluma dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Kaluma looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Kaluma lands a big elbow - Grapist is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Kaluma!
